The Volta Region of Ghana is an area of extraordinary scenic beauty with rolling hills and valleys, rocky outcrops overlooking Lake Volta, and lagoons, rivers and waterfalls.
These unique gifts of nature make the region the most serene and an ideal destination for nature lovers, hikers, family vacations, etc.
In the early morning, you will be picked up from your lodging for a trip to the Volta region. Stopover at the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, where monkeys live in complete harmony with the residents. On arrival, we hike to the Wli waterfalls, by crossing over nine rivers to the lower falls. Depart to our eco-friendly lodge with a great chance of meeting palmwine tappers en route. Overnight stay at the Liate Wote Lodge (or similar) in Liate Wote (L/D).
In the early morning, we walk through the village of Liate Wote to conquer Mount Afadjato, the highest peak in Ghana. After lunch, we trek through the village to witness a cassava, cocoa, coffee farms all the while interacting with locals. Continue with a forest hike to the beautiful and perennial Tagbo falls, a sacred site to the village folks. Overnight stay at the Liate Wote Lodge (or similar) in Liate Wote (B/L/D).
Depart for the stunning Avatime hills for a hike through the mountainous region, valleys, cliffs, to Mount Gemi. Return to Accra with a great chance of meeting palmwine (local wine) for sale along the route. On arrival, you will be dropped off at your lodging. No overnight stay (B/L).
